Can't delete old retweets?

Writing a simple tweet cleaning app & cleaning out my old tweets.

Can’t seem to delete any retweets prior to 8 Nov 2017.

always get an error code 32 (Could not authenticate you), despite the fact that the exact same code can delete more recent retweets.

tried a status delete… same error.

Also can’t even remove the retweet manually via the twitter website.

Any ideas?

“Could not authenticate you” seems to be their generic “Internal Error Occurred” equivalent message.

The same error message occurs if you try to tweet via the API with a asterisk in your tweet. Something that is obviously fine on the apps/web interfaces.

I know this isn’t much help but I thought I’d add my 2 cents about that error message.
