Cannot render preview, no metatags found

For every article on our site, I get “Unable to render Card preview”

INFO: Page fetched successfully
WARN: No metatags found

However, when I view page source I see all required meta tags. I’ve verified there is no issue with robots.txt or redirects. I’ve made sure the media is available. I see a HEAD request come from twitterbot, but not a GET. We aren’t aware of anything that would be blocking the bot.

I just tried curl -A Twitterbot http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2016/11/23/cbj-morning-buzz-haley-goes-global-bofas-hustle.html and I see no twitter:card markup.
