Hi there,
I applied for academic access and received an email asking for a link to my university website with my name on it. My university does not publicly publish the names of their masters students so I am not on there. I responded explaining this, and offering 3 other ways to authenticate my identity and status at the school including sending a photo of my student id card which cleared states I am a current postgraduate student. I received an auto response saying the same thing as the first email, to which I responded again, and I received an auto response to this, to which I responded again. I then received a rejection.
I don’t think a real person is actually reading these emails, which leads me to question how Twitter even intended to look at my evidence if I could provide exactly what they asked for.
I really need this access to work on my project, and I am now unable to email back the support email and I’m being ignored on Twitter. If I can’t get access I can’t get access, I’ll just have to change my entire project (and waste a lot of work I’ve already done) but I would like to feel as if my emails were actually read and considered by a human being.
I am a masters student doing a research project, I have the proof of it, but no one wants to see it? Where can I go from here?

Any chance I can get any person to look into this? This whole experience has been really disheartening.

Exactly the same for me. 4 days I exchanged messages with what is most likely a bot, just to hear that my application has been denied. If Twitter doesn’t want to provide access for master’s students then they shouldn’t say they do. Most master’s students don’t have an entry in their universities homepage. Sorry that I could not provide a solution but I at least share your frustration.

Yeah MSc students get denied often it seems, I discourage them from applying and instead recommend their professor or supervisor can apply and give them the bearer token to use for data collection instead - Twitter Developer Access - twarc I also don’t see the point in advertising it to masters students if they get denied so often and the requirements demand something more than they can give.
