Can Twitter Player Card assets be hosted on a third party domain? (different than twitter:url?)

Thinking about sticking these assets on amazon s3 and using amazon’s ssl cert. Will a Twitter Card Player be rejected if its assets are on a domain (albeit https) other than the domain used in twitter:url?

Also, is there anything wrong with MediaElement.js as a Twitter Card player? It’s an html5 player with flash fallback. We’ve set up the player on a blank html page designated for the twitter card player. It has jQuery, MediaElement.js, and a video tag supporting html5 webm, html5 h264, and flash.
