Hello i see that the Tweet Button uses this script to retreive the share count of a specific URL.

Can i use the script without the button?

Twitter does not support direct use of assets loaded by a button or widget. We frequently update our JavaScript, which may change images, CSS, and JSON used to compose a final displayed button or widget.

Then, there is not a official way to get the share count of a URL?

This kind of service will be great, because we are a lot of people that don´t like iframes or scripts to external services.

Correct, there is no official Twitter API to retrieve the number of times a given URL has been shared in a Tweet.
