Can I change the email address of a verified account?

I am having a problem with creating an app - as described here https://twittercommunity.com/t/something-went-wrong-during-your-application-creation/6697

The only way to reconfirm the email seems to be changing the email, but as it’s a verified account I wanted to make sure changing the email doesn’t affect the little blue tick?

The edit screen specifically says “You can change your bio URL and picture anytime. However, if you change your @handle you will lose your verification badge.” which makes me think it’s probably fine?

It was reading that faq that made me ask the question - language like “certain profile information” and “such as” didn’t really give me the certainty I was after, but I suppose I am overthinking it.
