Calculating new followers

I am calling the following endpoint to retrieve my followers: https://api.twitter.com/1.1/followers/list.json

However, when summing the total number of users created in May, they are much higher than what is represented on the Twitter Analytics page. 24 vs 63

Is the Analytics page excluding followers who dropped off and are no longer following? If so, how can I get those drops via the api?

The Twitter REST API is not designed for this purpose, if there is no endpoint for this in the analytics API, I guess it is not possible to get the information you want.

Does anybody know what the CreateAt field that gets returned actually represents? Because it does not correspond to when the follower was created. Thanks

The endpoint returns an array of User objects, so the created_at field refers to the UTC datetime that the user account was created (not the date that the follow relationship was created).
