Bad Authentication data error when using statuses/user_timeline.json

Hi there,

I am getting the response of “215 Bad Authentication data” when trying to access my app’s timeline using only the consumer key and consumer secret. I was under the impression that access token and access token secret were only needed to use the API to post as a user?

Is this wrong? Is the access token and access token secret needed to retrieve tweets themselves?

For OAuth 1.0A, you’ll need a user context. If you want to use app-only auth, the approach is a little different than just using OAuth 1.0A without access tokens. See [node:13439].
