I’ve noticed in these forums several people saying that sending automatic messages to new followers is discouraged by Twitter, but I still see a large percentage of Twitter users (5-10%) who send automatic messages. I actually enjoy getting these messages, because they serve as nice introductions.
Why does Twitter discourage these automatic messages?
