Auto post to Facebook stopped working on August 17

Hello,
I understand Facebook made changes to their API that went live August 1st that stopped the auto post to Facebook from working to personal Facebook pages. From what I read, business Facebook pages were not affected and I know of 3 business Facebook pages where auto posting continued to work until August 17. My question is why did auto posting to business Facebook pages stop working on August 17?

Yes, I am missing disconnecting and reconnecting again option in Twitter [Apps settings]

On August 1, 2018 the update to Facebook Platform Policies resulted in the end to the automatic cross posting to Facebook setting. We notified impacted users via email, help center updates and on Twitter.

I’m personally not aware of why this would have continued to work until August 17th. I will check with some colleagues to see if they have a better answer for you.
