Authentication hang up with 'read and write' setting

My app was authenticating fine before with ‘read only,’ and allowed users to log in and out via Twitter. However, when I switched the settings to ‘read and write’ the app gets hung up and won’t complete the authentication.

The last line in my rails console is ‘Started GET “/auth/twitter” for 127.0.0.1 at 2014-01-05 15:51:14 -0500
(twitter) Request phase initiated.’

The log in was working fine before, just trying to figure out what I’m missing now.

Figured out the issue. It was very odd that it was just hanging at the Request phase initiated, but requesting new tokens fixed it.
