Authentication for a fixed user account without user input

I want to create an Android app that can retrieve tweets from @r_obrien_eno. That’s it. It will then display them in a style reminiscent of Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies, ie randomly. The reason for using tweets is that then I can automatically add a new “card” to the deck available in the app.

Unfortunately all the documentation I have seen seems focussed on using OAuth for ANY user. The authentication step is then carried out in a browser. I only need access to the public tweets of the one user, so this seems a touch superfluous.

Is there a way of authenticating such that I can simply retrieve these tweets without disturbing the user experience?
