Are there plans to support other types of rich content in Player Cards?

I run SmugMug, a popular photo & video sharing service with over 35M visitors a month, and I just implemented Twitter Cards last night.

We have other types of rich content that aren’t videos that our customers would love to see in Twitter, like slideshows. We already support these types of content via iframes using oEmbed, and would love to make sure they could work well in the Twitter ecosystem, including your mobile app & interface. Currently the Player requires a number of video-specific items, so this doesn’t seem possible today, but would love to know more.

Sample oEmbed URL: http://api.smugmug.com/services/oembed/?url=http://cmac.smugmug.com/SmugMug/Support-Heroes-painted-faces/2504559_TrBCmb

Thanks!

I’d love a bump on this thread. At 1Sale, we have some interest in implementing something like https://ribbon.co/voyagertour?twitter=true

The player card is basically an iframe, so this can already be done. See http://thinglinkblog.com/2012/11/09/the-thinglink-twitter-card-how-does-it-work/ or http://stippleblog.com/post/36129873093/twitter-integration for posts containing examples
