Hi we are facing the issue that says “User is over daily status update limit.” and we want to try to apply for elevated POST limits. However the options is not displayed in the form.
The app id is 21291608 and 20147327
Since our users are now having trouble because of the limitation
I tried to apply on the form at Platform but couldn’t find the option of, “I would like to apply for elevated POST limits.”
Appreciate if you guys can help us.
Are you certain that it’s your app, and not your users, breaching the limits?
I’ve heard before that the API sometimes returns 185 errors for app limits as well as user limits, but you should check first whether it’s not a case of some of your users going over their status update limits (as they are separate from your app).
App limits for the relevant POST endpoints are 300 per 3 hours shared between all users of your app, but user limits are 2400 per day (and 50 per half hour) for each user. I’d advise checking the HTTP headers you’re getting in responses to check if this is a problem of specific users or of your app itself.
