I applied for academic research track - but got the standard track. Here is the case number.
Case# 0233068917 Twitter developer account application [ ref:_00DA0K0A8._5004w2FFrX9:ref ]

Once I open the account I see that monthly limit is 500K tweets. But for academic research track I understand that the limit should be 10million per month.

Please assist me. Thank you.

You most likely applied for a developer account, and put in your use-case as academic. This does not automatically give you the academic access project and endpoints, you need to apply separately to that, I’ve some notes here: Twitter Developer Access - twarc

Thank you. I did go to that link and applied. I had to answer many questions, outlined my project, methodologies etc. and got a message that my request has been approved. However, when I opened my account, I see that the limit is 500K. I am a faculty member and applied for academic research track. Hopefully, there will be a way to upgrade my account.

Thank you for the advice/suggestion. I have followed the link - but it shows that I needs to have an individual account and NOT a team account. Please let me know how I can change from team account to an individual account. (I was not aware of this issue, otherwise I would not have applied for a team account). Thanks.

Unfortunately i don’t think it’s possible to get Academic Access on a Team account. Someone from twitter will have to either change your account or you may have to create a new individual one - i’m not sure. Best place is maybe Platform or this forum of someone from twitter sees it.
