I’m deep linking into Apple Maps via a card, and since the “Open in XYZ app” seems to depend on looking up the app in the app store, Apple pre-installed apps don’t get a title and the button simply says “Open in app”
I’ve just been putting an ID of 0 in the app id meta tag and using the deeplink. All ios devices would have these installed, so the lookup is unnecessary.
I don’t know whether the solution is to treat these edge cases specially or to open up the copy for that button to be meta tag driven, but I think what’s there now could be improved upon.
