API limit in my office

I work in an office with a number of other developers. We all share a single IP address…

We currently hit the Twitter API limit on a regular basis which is slowing our development work.
Is there a way to work around this?

The API calls are done via JavaScript, so authentication is not an option.

Authentication is your only option to scale up API development. I would seriously reconsider using a pure Javascript approach so that you can make use of authentication.

Well, one of the things we’re using is the (Twitter supplied) widget from here:
https://twitter.com/about/resources/widgets/widget_profile

We could certainly build something similar, and proxy all API calls through our server.
However, it seems strange to have to do all that work for a reason like this!
