API doesn't return result for certian query

Hi

Seems like twitter API for search tweets doesn’t return result for certain query even though public search does return results. Query i am using is downtownnampa

I am using this https://dev.twitter.com/rest/reference/get/search/tweets

search/tweets and searching from Twitter’s webpage (if that’s what you mean by public search are not the same. So, it’s not surprising you are seeing differences. In your case, “downtownnampa” was last tweeted on April 1. Tweets more than roughly 1 week old will not appear in search/tweets results.

As @boxnumber03 says, search results older than 7 days are not available in the public API. This is documented here. Apologies for any confusion.
