Hi,

Is there any API which shows the public profile information about the user if the twitter handle is provided to it?

We believe this information can be immensely useful in analytics but are not sure where Twitter rules stand on sharing the public profile information of the users. This information is available on a manual search but I was wondering if it is possible to do this on a larger scale without having to manually enter the user IDs.
