Answer a tweet does not shows up in the Tweet timeline

Hi,

I recently tried to develop an app which polls tweets matching a specific hashtag, screenshots them then answer the matched tweet with the screenshot. As an example, we’ve got this tweet (https://twitter.com/LePiwaye/status/1047784557355945984) which is matched by the app, then the app responds with https://twitter.com/memoqpucbot/status/1047784750700810240 .

The fact is, the tweet posted afterwards does not shows up in the first tweet timeline. I think this is linked to a missed parameter in my answer call, but I did not managed to find out what was missing / misconfigured.

I’m currently using twurl with the following format :

twurl "/1.1/statuses/update.json" -d "media_ids=<media_id>&in_reply_to_status_id=<first_tweet_id>&auto_populate_reply_metadata=true&status=@<user_tag> Screenshot effectué ! #MEMOQPUCSHOT" -X POST

If someone has an idea about what’s missing, I’d be glad to know about it

I don’t believe this is related to the API, everything looks correct technically on your twurl example. Please review the developer policy and the Twitter automation rules.
