My bot specifically does not edit any media if the possibly_sensitive attribute is True. This has been the case for nearly 4 months now.

Somehow this morning, I noticed Twitter is now marking every video the bot replies with the possibly_sensitive attribute as True. The whole reason I stop the bot from being able to edit sensitive media is to stop my account from being force-marked as sensitive, but it happened anyway.

This is causing 2 major issues for me:

1. It means less people are able to see my Tweets, unless they’ve enabled viewing sensitive media in their settings.

This morning, I’ve already observed a huge decline in the number of people using, following and liking the bot’s tweets.

2. It means that people can’t edit videos that the bot has previously uploaded now.

Because the bot has a strict no-sensitive-media-editing policy, any previous videos that the bot has edited and re-uploaded are now marked as sensitive, meaning that users are no longer able to edit any videos produced by the bot.

Since I first drafted this, I’ve just added a small fix that allows any videos uploaded by my account to bypass the sensitive content check, until this can hopefully be fixed.

Is there a reason for this? It only seems to be for Tweets by my bot, not ones manually posted by me. If the bot doesn’t edit sensitive media, I don’t understand why my account has been punished. Just look through my Tweets, you won’t find a single video that is actually sensitive content.

This is already starting to have a really negative effect on my account in the short time it’s hit it. I have no idea how to or if I can appeal this, but it’s not treating this project I’ve worked so hard on too well. I’d appreciate any advice on what I can do, as this is directly related to my bot and its program.

I don’t see too many other bot accounts having this issue, but my account receives threats from Twitter at least a few times a week, despite me going to extreme lengths to prevent things like this from happening.

I’ve reviewed every single Twitter policy and my bot is well within the boundaries of them all, I don’t know what else I can do anymore.

aired by actual twitter support and aired on their forum too LMAO :frowning:

Oh nevermind I just got wrongfully suspended! thanks!

not too cool to see stuff like this happening. months of work down the drain i guess
