All domains tried set card type to summary_large_image

Hi there !!
Something strange happens…
I tried many domains, some of these are from my enterprise, some are personal but each times, twitter card validator said that card type is set to summary_large_image even if I set it from gallery type.
I tried all i could find on forum… used an url shortener, applied dummy parameters to url… nothing worked as expected.

If I’m not mistaken, @noun3t, the Gallery card type is retired.

Okay gallery card is retired, so why gallery card is still into official documentation ?

I’m a network engineer by trade and I have a little experience in the “documentation never getting updated” world. The truth is writing documentation in the first place is arduous and not many people enjoy doing it; but when it’s first done it’s usually done very well. But then the person who authored it leaves the company (or gets promoted or otherwise moves on) and then something changes that necessitates a change to the documentation and no one wants to edit someone else’s doc and they surely don’t want to re-write someone else’s doc, and so it gets procrastinated and then it never gets updated until it causes a problem.

Twitter might be a giant social media operation, but it’s still just a company made of people. And those people have a lot of things to do and things get prioritized down. Like the documentation you’re talking about. It’s just the way it is and it’s not unique to Twitter. Drop yourself in the middle of any tech company and you’ll find plenty of out-of-date documentation.

In any event, the card seems retired. You’ll have to make due with the cards that are still available. Sorry!

Ok gallery card is over, i get it !!

it is not just a question of rewriting but just delete section which is deprecated.
it takes 3 minutes to achieve it.

When we removed the Gallery card several months ago, we did remove links to the document from the Card Types page.

If you look at the very top of the page for the Gallery card itself, we also put a statement that makes clear that it is retired. We didn’t want to remove the page completely as that would break many links around the web.
