Adding twitter follow button to email signature (gmail, and godaddy, and lunarpages email

I followed these steps but when I add to my signature, only the HTML code is pasted.

What am I doing wrong?

Need this for GMAIL, email with GODADDY and email with LUNAR PAGES:

go to https://twitter.com/about/ resources/buttons#follow
2. choose ‘follow’ in 'choose a button’
3. type your username in 'Button
options/user’
4. test it by clicking the button under
’preview and code’
5. righ-click that button and 'copy link
location’
6. on a previously pasted twitter logo on
your email signature click the
hyperlink button 7. paste the code
