Hi i want to delete my twitter account and make a new one,but i want to ask if i make a new one could i use the same “@” name that i have in my current account?

Why can’t a single developer have different developer accounts (i.e. doing the stupid phone activation thing) using the same phone number?

How can you expect web developers who create twitter accounts on behalf of their clients to be able to setup when we are restricted to using only 1 phone number?

I have the same problem, I have 1 phone number, 2 Twitter accounts, and I need to create apps for every one of that.

Why can’t I create a second account (just for my blog) with my current email address?
I don’t want to have to manage two email accounts just to get two twitter accounts.

Without reading through all of the answers above I can say that you can in fact have multiple accounts. When you are signing up for a new account you do need to logout of your 1st account, and some web browser may force you to clear your cookies before you signup for a new account, “with” a different email addie…easy to do!

When I open Twitter it recognises that I’m 80sRockPics and I can’t find anything that says “Open new account”. On the above it’s the bit between point 2 and 3 that’s missing. Without knowing what ‘the procedure’ in point 3 is, I can’t create a new account. I already have one account. What exactly do I do to create a new one? All I can reach is how to amend my current account, which I don’t want to do.

I have personal twitter account, but I want to set one up for my personal business.However, when I go to create one (signing out & then signing up) I am asked to put in my cell phone number. When I put in my cell phone, I am not able to set up the account because that number is tied to my personal account. I don’t have a business phone because the entirety of my business is done online through ordering, there is no reason for people to call me directly.

Follow the procedure to create a new account;

You tell us to follow the procedure …but there is nothing that allows us to even find where this is. Where is this hiding…why is this not readily seen?

You click the icon with the two people

  • create new account/ add an existing account
