Add text to Re-Tweet using the API POST statuses/retweet/:id

Hi,
Is there a way to add text to the re-tweet when using the API POST statuses/retweet/:id,

I am able to cause the Tweet (:id) to be re-tweeted with the application account, using the api, however I do not see the ability for the application to add text to the re-tweet, as in the web interface on a re-tweet. Am I missing something?

What you’re describing is a quote Tweet. You can achieve this by posting a status update with a link to the Tweet you want to quote.
