What step are you on in the process?

If you are still setting up your webhook, please make you are using the following format for your webhook URL

https://www.your_domain.com/webhook/twitter

If you have already received a webhook ID and are working on the CRC check, please make sure you are adding that webhook ID to the end of your endpoint:

https://api.twitter.com/1.1/account_activity/all/:env_name/webhooks/:webhook_id.json

Let me know if either of those recommendations helps move you along.

Thanks for your response @LeBraat. I think the URL format is the problem. We have our API endpoints versioned. Can the format be https://www.your_domain.com/v1/webhook/twitter or must the “webhook” be at the root?

Thanks so much @LeBraat. I will try it when restriction is lifted from my account. My account was restricted again after I trying the webhook endpoint. I think something is wrong with the engine restricting accounts.

Are you just getting rate limited, or are you actually finding that your account is “restricted”? That would be unusual. You cannot call the webhook endpoint a large number of times in a small period due to rate limits - this is expected.

@andypiper, my account is restricted not rate limited. This is the second time my account is being restricted without doing anything. I saw someone raised an issue like this once on the forum.

Hey @andypiper @LeBraat, today is the third day my account’s write access has been restricted after trying to set a webhook. I have written to support and replied to the mail sent. Please how do I proceed with this integration, we can’t serve our customers from our Twitter channel. We have in no way violated Twitter’s policy.

The only time that we restrict write access such as this is when our systems find your app to have abused our policies. Please open a ticket here. Also, make sure to check the email of the account your app is registered to for any notices from Twitter regarding your app.
