Hello everyone,

I recently applied for the Academic Research Track (ART) as a master student working on my thesis. I clearly stated the topic and objectives of the project and I got no inquiries about that part.
However, I received multiple emails asking for links that proof my identity and state my background in academic research. I am not employed at my university so I sent my certificate of enrollment. I sent it twice with an explanation and received a generic reply asking for links.
To cut to the chase, my application for ART was not approved and I am positive that it’s because I have no official websites that confirm me as a member of an academic research group.

Have any of you experienced a similar thing and can you point me in a direction where I get approved for the research track? I have already spent some time on research and conceptualization of my thesis topic and I don’t have the time to become an established member in academia in the meantime.

Greetings,
Caro

They tend to not approve masters students, so instead you should try and get your supervisor or coordinator to apply, and then give you access with the bearer token. I’ve some notes here: Twitter Developer Access - twarc

Thank you Igor. If that is the only option I will try to find a workaround with my supervisor.
