Help pIease: I keep getting the message below when I try to sign up for academic research access. I see this problem has been reported here before but I don’t know why it happens or how to fix it.

Sometimes their forms do break, but other times it can be fixed if you disable any adblockers and or try a different browser maybe!

I encountered the same problem.
You should sign up for a developer account first, by clicking the “sign up” button right to your avatar. Then you add your email and agree the developer guidelines.
After activating your developer account, you should be able to apply for the academic research access!

This worked for me. Sign up for a developer account in the hobby category. That will verify your email address, and you will get elevated access. Then Academic Research application link works.
