Some endpoints may occasionally return errors, perhaps a backend deploy was in progress, you hit a different API instance / datacenter than usual, or the system was under heavy load. You should handle errors gracefully and retry after a short period.
You say you’re using the mentions timeline, but then provide an example Tweet. That Tweet loads fine for me via the API.
