301 Redirect & Button Count

#1

Why when I tweet this url: http://www.frienefit.com/l/168748BGQk2cvG2 which resolves to: http://www.myteespot.com/Soft-Kitty-Big-Bang-Theory-T-shirt-p-15821.html, doesn’t the tweet button count go up on that final destination page? It’s a 301 redirect, here are the headers for the page that does the redirect:

HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 15:02:46 GMT
Server: Apache
Set-Cookie: PHPSESSID=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; path=/
Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT
Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0
Pragma: no-cache
Set-Cookie: PHPSESSID=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; path=/
Location: http://www.myteespot.com/Soft-Kitty-Big-Bang-Theory-T-shirt-p-15821.html
Vary: Accept-Encoding
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

The code for the tweet button indicates that the counturl = http://www.myteespot.com/Soft-Kitty-Big-Bang-Theory-T-shirt-p-15821.html

I’m not sure what the problem could be. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
